It is Day 27 of 31 and I am beat. I foolishly thought this would be a relatively easy month of posts…just decorate some surfaces and take pictures, right?! Wrong! Interior styling is hard work. But, the pay off is big. I love my styled spaces so much.
Because I am so tired, I filmed a short video for you today, instead of playing around with accessories and my camera. I am taking it easy this weekend so I can recharge to finish out the last few days of this series strong. If you are following me on Instagram, you can see hints of what’s to come in my bedroom.
Apparently, I am so tired I almost forgot what my series was about and I said “photographer” in a really weird way…

Have you been trying to re-style any of your spaces this month? Is it tiring you out, too?
I’ve really appreciated that you’ve been asking your readers for feedback on your styling. I’ve learned a lot and hope to use your techniques when I can find the time and energy to style. “Talk” to you tomorrow.
I’ve really enjoyed this series!!! It’s been really helpful in my own home.
I love the look of well-styled homes, but have struggled with this in my own home. For instance, I have tried (for months) to style my buffet table – buying random items that I liked individually, but I never knew how to pull together that “finished, well-styled” look. I especially loved the “formulas” you provided for styling. Using many of your tips, I’ve FINALLY been able to style my buffet and I LOVE how it looks now. Thank you!!!
Ditto what Heart and Haven said above about loving your formulas. I love having a formula for ANYTHING. Taking to heart something you said elsewhere on your blog (or in class?), I came across a photo in a magazine yesterday that looked so comfortable to me! I flipped on by though because the fabrics and furniture style weren’t really mean. But I made myself go back to the photo to figure out what it was that attracted me to it. Sure enough, it was the composition! They layout and sizes of the table and chair beside the bed, the blanket on the bed, the layered-ness of it! I ripped out that page and am going to see what I can do with it as a “formula.” Thanks for that great suggestion! I’m loving all your styled spaces!
