Happy Monday! Today I am sharing an AH-mazing project over on 4 Men 1 Lady. I am the newest 4 Men 1 Lady contributor. I will be sharing an original DIY project over there once a month.
This month I am sharing my newest way to save big bucks on home decor. My son’s room just got a major style upgrade. I DIYed this gorgeous painterly duvet cover (inspired by West Elm) for under $40! Please head on over to 4 Men 1 Lady for a lot more pictures and a complete DIY Painterly Duvet Cover how to! It is way easier than it looks!
I pinned this in case my daughter, who is very artsy, gets inspired to paint her son’s bedding when he grows into a big boy bed. Awesome job!!!!
Oh, Gwen, she definitely should. I adore how proud my son is that his mommy hand-painted his bedding :)
So cute and perfect for a boy’s room!
Thanks for this awesome tutorial and idea! I used it to make some curtains in my son’s room. Check it out here-

Amy, They look incredible with the striped walls. Love it. Thank you so much for coming back here and taking the time to share!
I am so in love with this idea! I have been dying to make some kind of painted/stenciled fabric/rug for the past 8 mos and if we EVER get out of this rental and into a home of our own, that is probably one of the first things I will do! Love it! I do have a question about the little blue table in your son’s room. How did you do that wood top? It looks so cute! Thanks.
Karen, The wood top of the nightstand is a wood tile placemat from Target. The perfect way to freshen up a piece of furniture!
