When I am not busy DIYing things for the basement, I am busy helping clients decorate their homes. My lovely clients are one of the few things that can pull me away from a good DIY project. Yesterday when an email popped in from a past client, I immediately put the brush down to give it a read. Oh my gosh…it had after pictures. I love after pictures! And, I know you love after pictures!

My client’s email has been in my inbox for less than 24 hours, but I already got her permission to share the pictures with you. They are so good. The room is so good. I want it!  But first, here is the mood board I created for Amy:

Amy has a beautiful office space all to herself and wanted my help giving it a classy makeover. I wish I could take credit for her amazing sofa, but she already picked that out herself. I took it from there. My goal was to give her a glamorous girly office and reading room.

Here is how she translated the mood board into a completed room:

Teal, turquoise, and pink…oh my! Such a fun and fresh feminine color combo. It was inspired by the art on the mood board that Amy was eyeing for the room.

I love seeing how my digitally styled picture ledge came to life above the gorgeous mirrored cabinet.  This room proves office storage can be beautiful!

On the other side of the room, the curtain panels add softness and another great smaller scale trellis pattern.  If this were a living room, I might have recommended additional seating under the window.  But since this is an office and relaxing zone for one lucky lady, a simple console in front of the window provides a display spot and completes the room.

It is always a treat to hear from clients, but it is extra special when they are dropping me a note to gush about their new room.   Best part of my job, hands down!  A big thanks to Amy for sharing her space with us!

  • Courtyard Kitchen
  • Contemporary Spring Great Room
  • Olive and Aubergine Living Room
