Poufs, poufs, everywhere! No really, they are everywhere. As they should be.
Poufs are a foot stool, an extra seat, or a small ottoman. Poufs are an opportunity to layer in another texture, pattern, or color. Every room can use a pouf. And now, every outdoor space can use a pouf!
For the first time this year, I started seeing outdoor poufs popping up in stores. They come in bright and fun fabrics. So fun, I have even recommended outdoor poufs for indoor spaces like family rooms and kids rooms.
5 of my favorite ways to use poufs:
1. A cylindrical pouf near a daybed doubles as a nightstand and foot rest.
2. Poufs paired with a small table makes comfy kids seating in a home office.
3. As a foot stool for a nursing chair, which can later be seating for a toddler.
4. A pair of poufs in a family room adds two extra seats for company. A pair of poufs or stools always looks great in front of a fireplace without blocking the flame.
5. Seating for the play area that doubles as giant building blocks for the kids.
Without further ado, here is a roundup of some of my favorite poufs for indoors and out:
Indoor: 1. Embrace Floor Ottoman | 2. Ikat Pouf | 3. Argonne Pouf | 4. I-Beam Pouf | 5. Get it Bright Pouf in Blue | 6. Knitted Pouf | 7. Jonathan Adler Pouf | 8. Blue Ikat Pouf | 9. Dhurrie Pouf | 10. Poodle Pouf | 11. Natural Moroccan Pouf | 12. Handwoven Hacky Tuffet |13. Moroccan Pouf

What is a fun, modern color that can be paired with a deep, royal blue? I need to step up my office but cannot change wallpaper or chair colors.
Lorri, My favorite colors to pair with deep, royal blue would be yellow, turquoise, or raspberry.
I love your blog and have been following for a few months now. I have enjoyed your “favorite sources” posts and would love to see your favorite fabric sources. A couple weeks ago, I fell in love with some of the fabrics you used for pillows ( Sew Fine Fabrics) and ordered some from that shop. Loved it! Thanks so much!
Amanda,
Thanks for the suggestion. I will add fabric to my list of favorite sources roundups.
LOVELY!
The link for #17 doesn’t work :(
Thanks, Dani. I fixed the link for #17.
I love all the poufs you chose. It would be fun to have a room full of poufs. Not sure what I would do with them, but they would be fun to look at. I made one awhile back with a fun fabric, but it just sits like a lump in our small family room. I’ve considered getting rid of it, but I really like the look and took the time to make it myself. Maybe I’ll have to think outside the box on this one.
BWT-I’ve been looking for the winner of your contest. Will you be announcing which idea won?
Lisa, Maybe some of the ideas I mentioned above will work for your pouf to make it more functional.
The giveaway winner was contacted and I updated the original post announcing it was Robin with the Sunshine and Lemonade Screen Porch. In the next few weeks I will be sharing a fun and sunny pin board.
I really like the fireplace design board you posted. The two blue colors on the walls and the art work look fantastic.
OMG poofs are all the rage right now. I’ve seen them everywhere and love them. I’m all about pattern, but I was looking for something girly in a metallic color for my daughter, and i finally found on on GalleyDirect. It is such a great little addition to the room. It also makes extra seating when my daughter has her friends over.
Ok, in the fireplace moodboard, where is painting #1 from? I love the colors! I need it!
Alyssa, I do not know the extant source of the painting off hand, but it is by artist Michelle Armas. All of her work is stunning!
Thank you! I’ll check her out!
My 6 year old daughters room is silvermist with white furniture, what are some good accent colors to use with silvermist.
