This is proof. Proof that I am not procrastinating.

Bug Party Supply Gathering

I haven’t done much since I created the bug party inspiration board, but I have been collecting decor and supplies. This is my little collection of goodies so far. Canlesticks, placemats, napkins, bamboo plates, and milk bottles…let me explain…

Bug Party Supplies

Of course I am going to make use of my glass milk bottles and I think they look lovely with grey striped straws. I didn’t expect to like the grey and green together, but I think it is a cool color combination. Plus the real color is going to come in the form of bugs! Speaking of bugs, look at the cute as a bug napkins I found. I actually pulled these from my party supplies. I found them at Ikea last spring.

Mercury Glass Candlesticks
I have also found the candlesticks for my candlestick candy jars. These mercury glass candlesticks were on clearance for $6 each at Target. I was thinking of painting them lime green, but now that I see them with the green I think I like the glam mercury glass look. Also, the more neutral (than lime green) mercury glass will allow me to reuse the jars for future parties.

Bug Party Green Felt Placemats

The green felt placemats are my favorite find so far. I picked them up at HomeGoods, a set of 4 for $7.99. The modern dot pattern is going to look stunning on the party table in grassy green. Just wait until I find some cute little bugs to crawl over them.

I will be back soon to share the party invites, the completed candlestick candy jars, and next time I will bring some bugs :)

    Hi Jackie,
I was wondering if you would be willing to sell your mercury glass candlesticks? I had a tall and a short one and I just accidentally broke the tall one. Please email me and let me know! I would really appreciate it! Thanks so much!

      Stephanie,

I am not willing to part with mine, but now is a perfect time of year to find them. Target had some again for their holiday decor and you may be able to find them on sale now.
