Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! On a day when many others are probably returning or exchanging gifts, I am delighted to say there will be no returns around here. I want to share two beautiful home decor gifts exchanged this Christmas; one I gave and one I received.
First, we gave my sister-in-law a personalized cutting board. I know her favorite color is green and I kind of took a guess at the other colors. A few days before Christmas when I noticed her iPhone case was from the same shop, and in green and navy, I knew I had nailed it. This custom cutting board is from Pretty Smitten. It looks gorgeous. It was packed well and arrived in time for us to reship it to my in-laws for the holidays.
Second, the gift I received. I think it is so fitting that my sister-in-law gave me an equally beautiful home decor gift. She knows my favorite color is teal. She picked out a lovely set of picture frames from Sweetwater Frames. She chose the Deep Ocean color. I cannot wait to get these back home. I imagine they will look great hung between the windows in our family room. They will add a much needed punch of color on that side of the room.
I think knowing a persons favorite color is very important for gift-giving. If you have no other gift ideas, then you can always buy the person almost anything in their favorite color and they are sure to love it. If anyone had asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I doubt I would have said picture frames. But these guys turned out to be one of my favorite gifts of all.
