The deck lounge chairs have arrived. The amazing deal for these chairs was not a dream. My sister helped me put them together the night they arrived and we broke them in right away for an evening gab session on the deck.
These chairs are so comfortable and relaxing. The low, wide seat just scoops you up and takes you on a relaxing ride. Sitting on the deck in the evening with a cool summer breeze is a great way to wind down the day. I arranged the four chairs in a circle to promote conversation and turn this corner of the deck into a lounge area. My deck design plans actually called for a corner sectional in the lounge area on the deck, but I could not pass up these chairs. I am happy with the switch. I think the chairs keep the area more open and the view unobstructed. A sectional would have completely blocked the railings and the view to the yard below.
I found the round white metal table at Room and Board Outlet. It was $169…definitely not as amazing deal as the chairs, but it was the perfect size. The furniture for this whole area was only about $500. I still think it will be nice to add a few side table/stools in this area between the chairs, but that can wait until next season.
Although our search for other outdoor furniture at Ikea was a failure (the season is over for retail stores), we did find these great little votive candle holders. They remind me of the Restoration Hardware fire columns, but on a much smaller scale. Love the simple, modern style. I put a trio on the coffee table for mood lighting.
Hi. I love your blog & just wanted to let you know that I purchased 2 of these chairs after spying them on this post! They just arrived today took less than 10 minutes to assemble. I can vouch for the value. Very comfy;love the way they look and the quality is great for the price. (I promise I don’t work for C&B!)
Meredtih,
So glad you were able to take advantage of this deal too. I am wishing other furniture in this line would go on sale more than 15%.
Thanks,
Jackie
